Saklikent-Tlos Ancient City

Saklikent is situated the Taurus mountain range between Fethiye and Kaş. The gorge is one of the longest and the deepest in Turkey. Saklikent canyon which is unbelievably beautiful mystic and interesting, you can walk 3 km in to the canyon and you will need a waterproof shoes to walk into the gorge. That would be better to bring extra with you too. Tlos has a very long history, the first people in this area go back to 2000 B.C., here we can still see lots of remains from Lycian, Greek and Roman periods. The legend of the winged Horse Pegasus was created at Tlos and The hero Belerapontes had killed the dragon Chimera at Olympus mount near Antalya.
